燃气发电 是一种利用燃气轮机及发电机与余热锅炉、蒸汽轮机共同组成的循环系统，它将燃气轮机排出的功后高温乏烟气通过余热锅炉回收转换为蒸汽，再将蒸汽注入蒸汽轮机进行发电的电厂。

　　燃气发电原理是通过燃烧燃气来产生能量，利用的原理与传统的汽车发动机类似。燃气内燃机的原理是将燃气喷入到内燃机燃烧室中，通过燃烧产生高温高压气体，然后将气体排出，带动内部的机械运转，从而产生电力。燃气发电机组中包括很多的发电机组，例如：风力发电机组、柴油发电机组、以及燃气发电机组。燃气发电机组包含：发动机、发电机、控制器，还有可选用装置稳压过滤装置、气液（汽液）分离装置等，发动机与发电机同轴连接，并置于整机底盘上，再将消声器和调速器连接在发动机上，由燃气源通入发动机内的燃气通道，连接在发动机上带拉绳的反冲起动器以及连接在发电机输出端的电压调节器。其中燃气源内置放的可燃气体是天然气，或液化石油气，或沼气。
